Summary:
Inspectors are responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities on assigned construction projects to ensure work is completed according to company standards and project requirements. This role involves conducting site inspections, documenting field conditions, reporting daily progress, and maintaining open communication with the project management team.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in construction or a similar role
- Solid understanding of construction work and job site safety
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using basic tech tools like email, photos, and digital forms
- Able to work independently, stay organized, and manage time well
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
- Visit assigned job sites daily to check that work is being done correctly and safely
- Keep detailed notes and take photos of field conditions
- Track daily progress and report any issues or delays
- Make sure work follows plans, specs, and company standards
- Work closely with the project management team to share updates and flag any concerns
- Help resolve on-site issues as they come up
- Keep inspection records organized and up to date
- Attend project meetings as needed to provide input from the field
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods, including on uneven ground
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Occasionally need to lift up to 25 lbs.
