What are the responsibilities and job description for the CREDIT ASSOCIATE position at Samson Marketing?
Basic Function:
The Accounts Receivable Credit Associate is responsible for providing AR/clerical/administrative support to Credit Department Managers and/or Credit Department Team in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
Accountabilities:
• All A/R Cash Application Functions- work with accounting team when needed to accomplish this task.
• Process CBD letters for applicable accounts.
• Submit credit applications for credit consideration by department manager.
• Utilize applicable credit society information available, requesting necessary reports.
• Ensure all applicable credit documents have been received and signed for presentation to the manager.
• Submit and request credit references as applicable.
• Submit forms and documentation to collection agencies when accounts are placed for collection.
• Conduct customer calls and execute dunning notices as required or directed by managers.
• Provide backup assistance for customer master maintenance when needed.
• Process daily ACH requests and pull payment information from banking institution website for cash application process.
• Perform various clerical and administrative duties which support all levels of the credit team.
• Work closely with other departments within the company to assist them in servicing customer base.
• Assist department managers as needed.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma required; college preferred.
• One to three years clerical/administrative experience, preferably within the credit industry.
• Thorough understanding of PC based applications related to job requirements.
• Proficiency in computer software to include MS windows, Spreadsheet (Excel), Word-processing (Word).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while serving as a liaison to department managers, associates, clients and customers.
• Ability to exchange information clearly and concisely.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
• Must have strong organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills.
• Must possess the ability to work well individually or as a member of department team.
• Ability to be firm and assertive while still maintaining professional and courteous relationships with customers and colleagues.
