To make our ten-year mission of saving 5M animal lives across California a reality, we’re seeking a Mentoring Veterinarian to help guide our clinical team. We’re more than shelter medicine! Our full-service general practice Mission Hospital is one of the largest in San Francisco. We’re not a corporate entity that’s only focused on revenue growth. AND, are able to provide top-quality surgery, dentistry, and advanced diagnostics while leveraging our on-site reference lab, pathologist, and pharmacy. Our robust staff of over 20 exceptionally skilled, mission-driven RVT’s allows our team of veterinarians to practice non-judgmental, client-focused, incremental care.
As a Mentoring Veterinarian, you will be a hands-on leader with a mix of 75% clinical responsibilities and 25% Organizational Strategy and People development. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide oversight and medical guidance on a full spectrum of medical cases ranging from wellness to special procedures.
- Hire, cultivate, and lead a collaborative hospital team, instilling a strong sense of belonging, commitment, and passion.
- Partner with the Chief Medical Officer and leaders across the organization to guide and implement hospital goals.

- Exude passion for providing incremental care to client-owned animals in a non-judgmental manner, with an emphasis on building meaningful relationships with clients.

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary school in general practice
- Active, non-restricted CA state veterinary license or ability to obtain one
- Valid driver's license
- A skilled surgeon with 5 years of experience in client-facing clinical practice
- 3 years mentoring veterinarians
- Able to perform advanced soft tissue surgeries and pursue advanced medical workups
