San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital’s Behavioral Health Center is currently seeking Class-C Drivers for the Behavioral Health Center located in Palm Springs. Candidates may reside in the Banning, or Palm Springs area, since both locations serve as operational hubs for the Behavioral Health Center.
GENERAL HOURS: 6a-9:30a and again from 11:30p-3p. These hours are subject to change per needs or schedule changes.
ROUTES TO INCLUDE: Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City, Banning, Beaumont, Palm Springs, Indio, Coachella. Routes also subject to change as program needs arise.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Behavioral Health Center Driver is responsible for the transport of clients to and from the Behavioral Health Center on a scheduled basis. The Driver ensures the safety of all client passengers at all times. The Driver provides assistance to clients when boarding and exiting vehicles. The Driver takes clients’ temperatures, issues masks prior to entering the vehicle and ensures all clients are wearing seatbelts The Driver also assists in the care and maintenance i.e., car wash, being responsible for the cleanliness of the interior of the hospital vehicle, refueling vehicle at a minimum of ¼ tank, and performs other duties as needed or assigned. The Driver recognizes their role as a hospital representative and demonstrates professional behavior at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
â— High School education or equivalent.
Licensure:
â— Minimum of Class C Driver's license. Passenger endorsement Highly preferred.
â— Maintains current BLS or Heart Savers certification from the American Heart Association.
Experience/other:
- Clean DMV record, no tickets, no accidents, or other encumbrances.
- Legible handwriting.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use cell phone and voice mail system.
- Maintains or ability to obtain Basic Life Support or Heart Savers certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong time management skills/sound judgment/problem solving/decision making skills.
