San Marcos Treatment Center, a 212-bed, seclusion free, psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio in the heart of Central Texas! San Marcos spreads across 65-acres with an abundance of trees and wildlife. We have 13 unique living units separated by gender, age, and development levels with two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, sports court, playing fields, ropes course, canteen, social area, and a healing trail. We provide 24-hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 6 to 17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs teach young patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions and improve social functioning.

Our License Vocation Nurse (LVN/LPN) Provide direct patient care and management of children, adolescent, and young adult patients as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. Assure safety, supervision, and crisis management for patient populations. Provide assessment and medical management of patients under the supervision and direction of an RN. Assist in the management of a therapeutic milieu.

Qualifications
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. One year psychiatric / neuropsychiatric experience with adolescents and / or young adults in a long term hospital or residential setting preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current Texas professional Nurse License and current driver license.
Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information. Demonstrates effective organization. Develops and implements patient care services within discipline. Must consistently exhibit mental ability to understand and perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to initiate and implement all phases of the nursing process; ability to provide safe nursing care; understanding patient rights; basic supervisory skills.
Fully COVID Vaccinated – Will be required to provide proof if a job offer is made. Medical or Religious exemptions can be discussed with HR.
Physical Requirements: Intermittent (25-49%) standing, walking and sitting. Infrequent (<25%) twisting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing (ascending/descending stairs/ladders), bending, stooping, using arm, leg or back muscles frequently or for extended periods. Frequent carrying of weights 2-10 pounds, infrequent carrying of weights greater than 10 pounds.

Salary : $44,300 - $56,100
