HOUSEKEEPING/LAUNDRY AIDE

Our housekeeping/laundry aides are a vital member of our team ensuring our residents’ home is maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable manner and ensuring that an adequate supply of laundry and linens are on hand at all times to meet the needs of our residents. HOUSEKEEPING/LAUNDRY AIDE - Responsibilities:
· Dust and polish all furniture in common areas and residents’ rooms daily.
· Dust mop and wet mop in all residents’ rooms daily.
· Clean all bathrooms and toilet bowl daily.
· Vacuum carpeted areas daily.
· Empty all wastebaskets daily.
· Clean all wastebaskets daily.
· Clean and polish water fountains daily.
· Clean and polish fire extinguishers and ice machines weekly.
· Spot wet mop daily as needed.
· Clean all beds weekly.
· Maintain housekeeping equipment. Keep equipment clean and in neat order.
· Restock the main cart before going off duty.
· Transport, wash, dry, and fold laundry.
· Sort residents’ personal garments and place them in designated bins.
· Transport all clean linen to Clean Linen Room and store neatly.
· Keep the laundry room, including the equipment, clean, and orderly.
· Ensure that clean and soiled linen do not come in contact with each other, thereby causing contamination.
