Job Summary
The Manager of Provider Relations is responsible for overseeing and managing the Provider Relations department (hiring, training, coaching, counseling, educating, developing, disciplining, and terminating). Monitor staff performance thru annual performance appraisal, approving vacation, sick and holiday pay, and ensures compliance of staff with regards to annual education requirements. Effectively manages the overall operations of the department implementing efficiency practices and procedures. Meet with staff on a regular basis individually and as a team to enhance performance, promote teamwork and provide educational opportunities. Reviews existing office procedures and implements successful modifications and changes as appropriate. Demonstrates an ability to professionally assess a situation, consider alternatives, or seek assistance from appropriate personnel and choose proper course of action. Demonstrates proficiency in managing and organizing meetings, manage multiple priorities and projects. Manage communications to the provider community through month newsletters, website content, educational webinars. Works with other departments in the company to maintain and update revisions to the Provider Manual. Manage team that communicates directly with the provider community through phone que team, onsite visits and attendance at industry related association meetings. Manage Provider Portal content and security functions content delivered through educational webinars mostly related to the revenue cycle for providers and any other support functions related to the provider community.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree required with a concentration in a health care or related field.
Must have three to five years of related experience required.
