Job Title: VP, Controller
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced VP, Controller to lead all accounting and finance functions across a growing family office and portfolio of operating companies. This is a newly created, high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the President and designed to take day-to-day financial oversight off ownership’s plate.
The ideal candidate is a CPA with public accounting and private industry experience, comfortable operating in a hands-on, multi-entity environment that includes real estate, CPG, restaurant operations, foundations, and investments. This position is fully in-office in Delray Beach, Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting, finance, and reporting functions for CDS International Holdings and its portfolio companies
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple legal entities
- Review and approve financial statements, consolidations, and management reports
- Serve as the primary finance partner to the President, supporting strategic, investment, and growth initiatives
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, and compliance efforts with external CPA and advisory firms
- Strengthen internal controls, financial visibility, and reporting accuracy across all entities
- Partner with operating company leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy
- Support liquidity planning, capital allocation, and acquisition diligence and integration
- Help modernize and transition legacy estate structures into a scalable family office model
- Build scalable financial processes while maintaining flexibility for founder-led businesses
Qualifications
- CPA required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)
- Background in public accounting and private industry
- Prior experience as a Controller, VP of Finance, or senior finance leader in a complex multi-entity environment
- Strong experience with Multi-entity consolidations
- Experience in CPG, manufacturing, or restaurant/hospitality accounting preferred
- Proven ability to work directly with ownership and senior executives
- Hands-on, detail-oriented leader with strong strategic judgment
Salary : $190,000 - $215,000
