Accountant
Job Purpose
As a General Ledger accountant, you’ll be instrumental in upholding the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Your work will ensure compliance with accounting principles and directly contribute to the ongoing financial health and success of our organization.
Nature Of Duties
- Prepare accurate and timely journal entries
- Perform monthly reconciliations of various general ledger accounts, proactively investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Respond to internal inquiries from corporate and plant locations
- Assist with external audit requests, providing necessary documentation
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, supporting continuous improvement efforts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0-3 years accounting experience
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Oracle experience is a strong plus
