Credit Assistant:
Santa Monica Seafood, is a family-owned and operated business, and one of the West Coast’s top seafood distributors providing only the highest quality fresh fish and seafood products to restaurants, hotels, retail stores and institutional food service providers throughout Southern California, Arizona and Las Vegas area. The company operates a State-of-the-Art processing facility in Rancho Dominguez. In addition, Santa Monica Seafood features two retail store outlets, located in Santa Monica, Costa Mesa.
Santa Monica Seafood is currently seeking a strong Credit Assistant. This position will be stationed at the company’s Rancho Dominguez, CA. facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the Credit application process from beginning to end.
- Ability to interact in person, via email, and by phone with Customers and internal departments in a professional manner.
- Send and follow up on all Trade References from new Credit applications.
- Pull Business and Personal Credit reports.
- Enter and open new accounts in computer system.
- Responsible to validate any driver cash and checks every morning.
- Process Credit Card transactions.
- Scan daily previous day invoices into the Company’s imaging system.
- Make Copies, Fax invoices, Print Statements, Prepare Customer files.
- Check bank every morning for NSF’s.
- Fill out documentation for Customers A/P Departments, vendor packages.
- Log and update information in Customer Portals.
- Take on other tasks at Managers request.
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel and Word
- Cover the reception desk for one hour.

- 2-4year experience B2B, performing the above responsibilities
- Common Sense, and Quick Learning ability
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Team player with a results-oriented attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
