What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Sapporo?
- Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant or hotel
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or rooms
- Provide menus and assist with seating arrangements
- Answer phone calls and take reservations
- Manage waitlists and ensure timely seating of guests
- Communicate with kitchen and waitstaff to coordinate seating and service
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
Requirements:
- Previous experience in guest relations, food service, or hospitality is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Strong phone etiquette and the ability to handle multiple calls simultaneously
- Familiarity with restaurant or hotel operations is a plus
- Proficiency in using Aloha POS or similar reservation systems is an advantage
