Housekeeper

Sarah Roberts French Home is a 60 Bed, not-for-profit nursing home located in the Woodlawn Lake area.

Our Home's mission is to provide quality long-term care to the infirmed, elderly, indigent of the community in a loving and caring environment.

Our residents truly will make Sarah Roberts their permanent home for their remaining years.

We are looking to hire a Full time Housekeeper (Shift 7a-3p with a 4 on 2 off rotation). Person applying will love to work with the elderly and work as a team with co-workers in a positive environment.

Responsibilities-Clean and service resident rooms, baths and offices. Clean and mop floors, dust furniture and equipment. Clean window sills, empty trash containers and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion. Scour and polish bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and similar equipment, replenishing supplies of soap and towels. Maintain utility storage rooms. Performs a variety of related duties and other duties as assigned.

Physical demands- Stand, walk, turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull while handling cleaning, dusting, and scrubbing. Ability to lift and carry cleaning equipment.

Special demands are willingness to perform routine, repetitive task on a continuous basis, and perform tasks despite frequent interruptions. Ability to perform tasks with due consideration for patients/residents in vicinity. Clear understanding of infection control policies and procedures. Use of common house-cleaning devices such as brooms, mops, and scouring pads to keep assigned area clean and well-serviced.
Candidate must have ability to read, speak, write and follow simple oral and written directions.
