Managed Care Analyst Sr

This position supports all analytical activities of the Managed Care department and serves as the contract modeling expert responsible for complete, accurate modeling of proposed reimbursement contracts in organization’s contract management software and/or SQL database. This position also coordinates the loading and validation of finalized contracts in the contract management software and leads the effort to provide ongoing maintenance and updates to contract terms.

- Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of healthcare financial and/or analytical responsibilities at a medium or large healthcare organization or large payor requiring significant use of critical thinking, analytical skills and complex modeling and/or analysis within the context of Managed Care contract management or other means of reimbursement (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree.

- Prefer demonstrated ability to quickly learn and utilize new systems.
- Prefer demonstrated high level computer skills, including spreadsheet programs, word processing, database programs, and various Microsoft applications.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to relate well to others in a variety of functional areas, to work and maintain composure in a stressful environment, to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and to problem-solve and think both creatively and analytically.
- Prefer excellent customer service oriented strong interpersonal and team building skills with a positive attitude.
- Prefer excellent written, oral, and listening communication skills; negotiation skills, leadership and facilitation skills.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to communicate complicated financial data to all levels of management and staff
- Prefer Master's degree or CPA.
- Prefer Epic Certification in Resolute billing system, including Hospital and Professional billing, with sub-certifications in Epic Resolute Hospital and/or Professional Contract Management and Modeling.
- Prefer foundational understanding of SQL databases, primarily the ability to extract and explore data stored in tables and views, with an interest in expanding that knowledge.
