Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician II works under the direct supervision of registered pharmacists in accordance with Florida law, rules, and regulations, and are responsible for assisting and supporting pharmacists in various aspects of the medication use process in a patient-focused manner that supports and promotes medication safety, as well as, responsibility for supporting the preparation and distribution of medications, including the processes relating to the compounding of sterile preparations.
Required Qualifications
- Require active registration as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern in the State of Florida.
- Require the ability to obtain a level 2 AHCA clearance.
- Require the ability to pass (score 65% or higher) pre-employment skills assessment. Hires prior to 1/1/2008 are exempt from this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification.
- Prefer recent comparable institutional practice experience as a pharmacy technician.
Preferred Education
HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
