Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the safe delivery and documentation of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Directs and coordinates nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practices standards subscribed to and by the American Nursing Association and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Ace and other regulatory standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and desired patient outcomes. Supports the SMHCS mission and vision and in doing so, uses knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity in providing exceptional patient care and serves as a role model for professional nursing.
Qualifications:
- Requires one (1) year of RN experience; two (2) years is strongly preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or diploma program. BSN is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certified through the American Heart Association
- State of FL RN Licensure
Preferred License and Certs
- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Prefer certification in nursing specialty area
Availabilty Requirements
- Full-time position normally scheduled 72 hours per pay period, which may include every other weekend and holiday rotations based on the needs of the organization.
- On-call assignment and called back into work, as needed.
- Contract Assignment Length - 20 Weeks - Able to start on November 11, 2024

Required Qualifications
Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
- Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
