Your Role:
Our successful Bellman promotes outstanding relations with all guests and fellow Team Members by providing service in a friendly, swift, and responsible manner. They thrive in a team base environment where everyone consistently uplifts and supports each other through detail oriented work and regularly doing what it takes to ensure all necessary work completed.
Keys to Success in this Role:
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent guest service skills; attentive and detail oriented.
- Ability to maintain a high energy level in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills with both guests, co-workers and management.
- Greet guests upon arrival.
- Offer assistance to every guest entering the hotel with luggage.
- Monitor bellmen carts for safety and availability.
- Clean bellmen carts daily.
- Keep exterior of hotel clean; picking up trash and cigarettes when necessary, wiping off furniture and report all other deficiencies to hotel housekeeping department.
- Keep lobby and first floor public areas neat and tidy; picking up trash when necessary, report all other deficiencies to hotel housekeeping department.
- Upon request, label and store guest luggage in designated area for pick-up.
- Coordinate with front desk for transfers or assistance with room departures.
- Deliver requested amenities to room.
- Answer guest questions regarding facility and surrounding area.
- Act as a sales member for promotion of internal events, dining and specials.
- Provide guided site tours of property including guest rooms and event space.
- Escort guests to rooms/suites when requested.
- Must promote hotel in a positive manner, including highest level of professionalism and appearance.
- Complete assigned projects for scheduled shift.
- Lifting/carrying of up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, carrying and climbing stairs.
- Ability to work flexible schedules due to the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
