Family Court Associate Attorney with a minimum of 1-3 years of Family Court experience
If you are a self-disciplined attorney with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in family law, who would like to work at a firm that values work-life balance, we'd love to hear from you! Sarji Law Firm is a mostly remote law firm. The successful candidate for this position will be able to work from home but remain focused and productive, without the need to be micromanaged.
Under the direction and guidance of the Managing Attorney, the Associate Attorney manages an individual caseload from start to finish. The Associate must be committed to achieving excellent results for our clients through intelligent and zealous advocacy, possess an exceptional work ethic, be self-motivated, and project a positive attitude. The Associate must have excellent oral advocacy skills, thorough writing skills, and be confident in the courtroom. The Associate must be comfortable working collaboratively with Paralegals and Legal Assistants and providing oversight to move the case to a successful completion.
The Associate will be responsible for ensuring all deadlines are met and excellent legal services are provided to the client, including legal research, drafting motions, pleadings, orders and judgments, overseeing and analyzing discovery, drafting status updates, and remaining in communication with the client, opposing counsel or party, and any third party representatives.
This is a remote position, with travel to court for hearings and to the office required for in person meetings, depositions, etc. Self-discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage your time well are required.
Compensation is performance based and commensurate with experience, with a base salary and quarterly bonuses for meeting defined targets.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in South Carolina and in good standing with the Bar
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Proficient in online legal research platforms
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice
- Experience with legal drafting, negotiation, and litigation
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Persistence, honesty and integrity, a proactive approach to litigation, efficiency, and computer literacy are also required.
