Facilities Director

Timberlane Regional School District is seeking a Director of Facilities. We are searching for an administrator with positive and energetic abilities to serve as a leader under the supervision of the Executive Director of Operations and Special Projects. Responsibilities include maintenance and scheduling of maintenance for all buildings, systems, and grounds. Plans, monitors, and coordinates cleaning services, building maintenance, security, and grounds maintenance to ensure a safe and comfortable environment conducive to the advancement of student and staff achievement. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three years of previous plant/building maintenance, project management/construction and personnel management experience. Must have familiarity with refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems (and associated control systems), commercial roofing, commercial grade septic, private water, and building security systems. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repair strongly recommended. Must have basic understanding of construction documents. Must be familiar with cleaning scheduling, procedures, and equipment use. Familiarity with municipal purchasing, procurement, and budgeting preferred. Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements recommended. Experience using web-based applications and strong proficiency with computers and general software programs such as MS Word and Excel recommended. Must have basic knowledge of Department of Labor regulations, EPA Regulations, and have general familiarity with building and water systems regulations. Industry certifications preferred. Remain current on best practices and regulations pertaining to facility maintenance and operations. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to create a positive and collaborative relationship with all District stakeholders.
