Job Overview:

Sauce Essentials is seeking a highly motivated Trade Marketing Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. This role is critical in supporting our Field Sales and Field Marketing teams by ensuring they have the necessary tools, assets, and strategies to maximize our impact at retail. The Trade Marketing Manager will develop trade marketing plans, manage promotional calendars, and serve as a crucial liaison between Field Teams, Sales Leadership, and Marketing Leadership to drive strategic execution at dispensary partners. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Team Support: Work closely with Field Sales and Field Marketing Teams to support their requests for POS materials, digital assets, and promotional campaign execution at authorized dispensary partners.
  • Retail Promotional Calendar Management: Track and manage promotional calendars to ensure strategic alignment, timely execution, and performance tracking of retail activations.
  • Trade Marketing Strategy Development: Develop and execute trade marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility and drive sales at the retail level.
  • MSO Partner Support: Create and manage trade marketing plans tailored to support Multi-State Operators (MSOs) and tiered dispensary partners to maximize impact and visibility.
  • Sales Enablement Support: Equip the Field Sales Team with the necessary tools, resources, and insights to drive sales performance, including the development of sales decks, training materials, competitive analysis, and retailer-specific activation plans.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Act as the primary liaison between Field Teams and Marketing/Sales leadership, ensuring that retail needs are met while providing critical insights from the field that could influence broader marketing and sales strategies.
  • Promotional Campaign Optimization: Work with Field Sales to enhance in-store promotions, optimize execution strategies, and measure performance to improve future campaigns.
  • Asset & Collateral Development: Oversee the creation and distribution of trade marketing materials, ensuring they align with brand guidelines and drive effective in-store and digital marketing activations.
  • Data & Performance Analysis: Monitor and report on trade marketing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to refine strategies and optimize sales performance.
  • Retailer Engagement & Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with dispensary partners to maximize shelf space, promotional effectiveness, and brand presence.



Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Field Marketing, Brand Marketing, or Retail Marketing, preferably in the cannabis, beverage, or CPG industries.
  • Strong understanding of retail environments and promotional strategies. Dispensary operations experience a plus.
  • Experience working with MSOs, retailers, and field teams to drive marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and adjust strategies accordingly to maximize success.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management tools, and CRM platforms.
  • Experience developing POS materials, trade assets, and in-store promotional strategies is a plus.
