Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to create a supportive environment for those in need.
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs as required.
- Monitor and document clients' health status and report any changes to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Provide support for memory care and hospice care as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
Skills
- Experience in home community care or social work is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of patient care practices, including first aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility challenges.
- Familiarity with hospice care protocols is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others maintain their independence at home.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy.
