Overview

The Sawyer House—formerly known as Easton House—is a newly reimagined 10-room inn located in the heart of Nantucket’s Historic District. With all-new furnishings and amenities, our inn combines timeless charm with modern comfort. We’re a small, hands-on team committed to thoughtful hospitality and a beautifully maintained guest experience.

We are currently seeking 1–2 full-time Room Attendants to join us for the 2025 season. This is a key position responsible for the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the inn. For the right candidate, on-site housing is available.

Duties

• Clean and prepare guest rooms to a high standard of presentation and comfort
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas throughout the inn
• Restock linens, towels, and in-room amenities
• Assist with laundry (washing, folding, storing linens and towels)
• Promptly respond to guest requests with warmth and attention to detail
• Report maintenance issues or inventory needs to management
• Follow health and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff
• Collaborate with management and team members to deliver a seamless guest experience

Requirements

• Prior housekeeping experience in hospitality preferred
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering spotless, welcoming spaces
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or on a small team
• Good time management and communication skills
• Physically able to lift, bend, kneel, and be on your feet for extended periods

Perks & Compensation

• $22–$25 per hour, based on experience
