Flower Shop Assistant

Job Summary

Located in Rhode Island and female-owned and operated, our team provides unforgettable experiences through dreamy, atmospheric floral designs and decor.

We are seeking a responsible and motivated Shop Assistant to join our team for our 2025 wedding season (May-September). In this role, you will be responsible for handling flower deliveries, processing and prepping flowers for design, general shop clean up, multiple tasks around the shop, and more. This position may also assist in wedding set up on weekends and is mostly required to work outdoors. The ideal candidate will take direction well and have an interest in learning more, possess time management skills, and work well in a team environment. This position is 100% trainable, but an interest in flowers is a plus!

This position is flexible with total hours, ranging from 15-40/wk, 3-5 days/wk. Required days are Mon-Wed, Sunday's are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recieve and unpack flower deliveries when they arrive at the shop
• Process all flowers accordingly and prep them for designers
• Shop clean up, particularly emptying and organizing vans/trucks after weekend events
• General shop tasks such as watering plants, prepping design mechanics, breaking down cardboard boxes and more.
• Organizing wedding decor and hard goods, cleaning candles, etc.
• Assisting floral designers with event set up on weekends

Requirements

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be able to lift 50lbs. This job can involve consistent lifting of boxes at times.
• Quick learner
• Must speak English
• Must be able to work outside, mostly under an awning, for most of the shift

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Weekends as needed
