What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Coordinator position at SB Events Co. LLC?

* Hourly - 10-20 hours a week in addition to 14-25 hours a long weekend during event days* *Contractor Role*

SB Events Co. is looking for passionate, experienced, professional, creative & organized wedding coordinators.

This is one of the most demanding and yet rewarding jobs you'll ever have. We don't wear high heels very often, as we are running most days. We are good listeners and find great pleasure in bringing dreams to life. Your clients will remember you for the rest of their lives and thus we must be impeccable with our word and intentional with our work.

This position requires a good balance of right and left brain. Event management demands to be a self-starter, managing multiple aspects, patience and poise with clients, good relationships with vendors and understanding how to manage time. You must have a event coordination experience, a desire to make people happy, work with different cultures, and able to work weekends, and think quickly on your feet.

You will be needed on most weekends (Thurs-Sun) and throughout the week m. This is a company with a good reputation and growth opportunities for those who have a passion for excellence will have a great home with us!

Degree / Certification in Event Management is a plus.

2 years of wedding planning experience required.

Built relationships with internal and external customers

Available to work on weekends / weekday evenings as weddings can take place Thursdays/Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays.

Able to commit to work dates in advance of 6-12 months and prior

Able to successfully relate to a wide variety of personality types and cultures

Able to remain calm and think clearly throughout periods of immense stress

Able to be constantly on their feet for 12 hours at a time

Able to lift to 40 pounds

Able to function as a team player and to respond to direct and immediate requests from the Lead Planner

Committed to pursuing perfection

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Varies depending on experience

Additional Compensation: Potential bonus / tips

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office: 2 years (Required)
  • Customer Service: 2 years (Required)

Salary : $17 - $18
