Maintenance Tech 2nd Shift

SC2 is looking for a highly motivated team player to join our warehouse department as full-time Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and manufacturing related equipment
• Perform mechanic skill; including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Other duties as assigned or needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work long periods while continuously twisting, bending, reaching, standing, stooping, and lifting
• Must be able to work around a plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures
• Must be able to safely walk and work around machinery
• Must be able to work any shift and overtime with short notice
• Must be able to visually identify quality issues and concerns with product line
• Must be able to use hand tools and power tool
• Great written and verbal communication skills

Preferred education:

High School Diploma/GED

Preferred experience:

Any prior hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some experience working on bearings and motors is a plus
Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
