We are a non-profit, FQHC-LAL providing medical, behavioral health, case management, community outreach, diabetes education, and pharmacy services. We are proud to offer gender equity medicine, syringe exchange, and HIV/HepC treatment, testing and other services within our communities. Southwest Care Center is currently seeking a full-time Physician - Family Medicine. Candidate Highlights: Post-residency experience, Primary health care preferred Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) along with Board Certification in family practice, pediatrics or internal medicine, and/or obstetrics and gynecology, pharmacology, and nutrition. Additional specialty certification may be desirable for some positions. Position Details: PROVIDES PATIENT CARE by examining and diagnosing patients, and carrying out or supervising medical treatment, therapy, and follow-up; referring patients for specialty consultation and treatment; educating patients in primary medical care; documenting patient-doctor transactions for proper record keeping and billing. PROVIDES LEADERSHIP TO CLINICAL STAFF by assisting in medical information programs; participating in health education and community outreach programs; participating in quality assurance programs; providing for continuing education, on the-job training, and orientation of staff; supervising or guiding other provider staff as assigned; enforcing rules and regulations. ASSISTS THE CLINICAL SERVICES DIRECTOR by being involved in the recruitment, retention, and evaluation of medical staff; assisting with the planning, budgeting, and evaluation of primary medical care and service programs. PROVIDES INPUT AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE CLINICAL SERVICES DIRECTOR by providing feedback on the following areas: changes in the program of services; and new or proposed changes in existing clinical policies and protocols. MAINTAINS PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE by participating in continuing education or seminars related to job responsibilities. Interested in this Position? Need More Information?
