Schaffer Family Law Group seeking a highly motivated Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate is hardworking and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Prepare case-specific documents, including memoranda and briefs
- Ensure that case-related documents are well organized
- Prepare initial drafts of pleadings and correspondence
- Provide general administrative support
- Communicate with clients and witnesses
- Manage attorney calendar
- Maintain and update documentation
- Assist with discovery requests
- 3 years of experience in the family law environment preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
- Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with document management experience
- Experience with California and local court rules
- Comfortable Microsoft Office and case management software
- Ability to support multiple attorneys and multiple clients while working in a team
