The School District of Jefferson is looking for a detail oriented and self-motivated individual to be part of the Custodial team at Jefferson High School. The Custodian I shall provide a safe, clean, attractive, comfortable, and efficient place to learn, play, work, develop, and teach.
This is a full-time, rotating weekends position.
Sign on bonus available! $250 sign on bonus after 60 days of successful employment. $750 bonus after 12 months of successful employment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Sanitizing restrooms, showers, and locker rooms.
- Sweeping, dusting, and mopping classrooms, gymnasiums, and custodial service areas.
- Scrubbing, mopping, and finishing floors.
- Vacuuming and shampooing rugs and carpeting.
- Polishing and dusting fixtures and furniture.
- Securing building.
- Setting up and taking down for building activities.
- Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the Building Principal, Building Associate Principal, or the Maintenance Director.

Salary:
Starting at $15.78/hr. (plus an additional $2.20/hr. shift differential pay for night shift hours)

Jefferson High School: 3:00 pm -11:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with rotating weekends.
*All hours may be adjusted for summer months.

Qualifications:
The Custodian I shall possess good manual dexterity and be in good health, be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, have the ability to follow work schedules and perform assignments unsupervised. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the proper and safe use of cleaning equipment and proper cleaning processes, be able to accept direction from various supervisors, and must have the ability to organize and maintain building custodian inventories.
