What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deli Clerk position at Schreiber's Delicatessen?

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, such as sandwiches, salads, and soups
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
- Assist customers in selecting deli items and provide excellent customer service
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow recipes and portion sizes for food preparation
- Stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the deli
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a deli, restaurant, or food service setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for long periods of time
