What are the responsibilities and job description for the Import/Logistics Coordinator position at Schylling?

We are currently recruiting for an Import/Logistics Coordinator to join our busy Distribution and Purchasing team where you will be responsible for the daily follow-up with our Internal Purchasing Team and Freight Forwarder to ensure the timely process flow of all shipments and resolve any shipping related issues with our 3rd party warehouse. The best-fitted individual will have experience in the following areas:
- Communicate daily with our forwarder and internal team to manage all bookings from overseas.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment on booking decisions and container consolidations in order to meet inventory and customer demands.
- Processing all factory and/or Domestic shipping documents and send to our forwarder and our 3rd party warehouse.
- Creating, monitoring, and updating all incoming shipments through the forwarder website and reconciling them in our system and internal shipment tracking.
- Effectively and promptly communicate any discrepancies of lost, damaged, delayed, and/or customs shipment issues.
- Research lost shipments, broken items, and tracking between vendors and the company.
- Monitor and update inbound shipments once goods arrive into port through receipt into our 3rd party warehouse.
- Record receipt of delivery orders received from our forwarder.
- Verify inventory receipts from our 3rd party warehouse and research any discrepancies.
- Monitor shipment status from our 3rd party warehouse including delivery, container arrival, empty containers, return to port date and completion.
- Updating receipt dates daily and communicating any delays.
- Attend meetings and organizational initiatives as necessary.
- Support special projects when needed as assigned by the management team.
- Previous experience working with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
