JOB SUMMARY
Join our team at Scientific Protein Laboratories (SPL), a world leader in biosourced pharmaceuticals, located just outside of Madison, Wisconsin in Waunakee! SPL is an innovative biopharmaceutical leader with unique products and services supporting the pharmaceutical industry globally. For over 40 years, SPL specializes in the development and cGMP compliant manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). SPL has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Supervisor, Quality Control.
This position is responsible for overseeing the QC 3rd shift PCR team. This position is critical to ensuring daily activities and demands are met for product testing turnaround time. The supervisor will work closely with team members on training and coaching. The schedule for the role is Sunday through Thursday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage technical projects within QC and for other departments as needed.
- Provide guidance to analysts running testing.
- Write and/or review studies, protocols and method validations.
- Provide guidance and support to PCR labs on new laboratory methodologies.
- Provide guidance and support to the PCR labs on use of troubleshooting of existing instrumentation-based and chemical analyses.
- Function as a liaison between QC and other departments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree or above in Biological Sciences or related discipline preferred.
- Experience: 5 years’ experience required, 10 years’ experience preferred.
