The Buyer I purchases key ingredients to ensure Company manufacturing and packaging processes run smoothly without interruption.
Estimated starting annual base salary is $27.85 - 41.77 per hour less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, paid based on Company performance factors. Duties and Responsibilities |
- Organize all elements of the Supply Chain Procurement, including contact packaging materials for corrugate, bottles, caps, labels, bottle sleeves, caddies and other components including raw ingredients used to produce gummies.
- Conduct daily Material Requirements Planning (MRP) review to overcome demand/supply issues.
- Resolve any invoice discrepancies.
- Negotiate the best prices and quantities to ensure continuous and advantageous material supply.
- Work closely with Production Planning to ensure there are no material supply interruptions.
- Coordinate material efforts between Production, Planners and Shipping to achieve customer on-time delivery performance.
- Communicate with Customer Service, Distribution, Planning and Production to resolve issues meeting customer orders.
Required Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field or 3 years’ leadership experience in manufacturing operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Professional purchasing/procurement experience.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office and ERP system skills.
Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience purchasing for a manufacturing company.
Physical Requirements |
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
