3K Family Child Care Network Family WorkerDepartment : Early ChildhoodLocation : Queens, New YorkReports to : 3K Family Child Care Network Educational DirectorRESPONSIBILITIES : Support family services under the guidance of the Network Director and Educational Director.Support family activities under the guidance of the Network Director and Educational Director.Address individual family needs, providing referrals and resources, and design monthly parent engagement activities in collaboration with the Educational Director and Educational Specialist.Responsible for student recruitment and student applications, delivering student applications to the Department of Education’s Field Office.Manage data in MySchools System.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS : High School Diploma or GEDParent Engagement SkillsBEST PRACTICE REQUIREMENTS : Be a team player.Have strong sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics present among staff and clients.Possess a strong belief in people’s ability to grow and change; forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families.Ability to set limits and maintain the helping role of practitioner and to intervene appropriately.Follow employee screening requirements and use screening instruments to screen for abuse risk.Provide employees with ongoing supervision and training related to abuse risk.Provide regular feedback regarding employees' boundaries with clients.Require employees to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk.Respond quickly to policy and procedure violations using the organization’s progressive disciplinary procedures.Respond seriously and confidently to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviors.Follow mandated reporting requirements.Communicate to all employees the organization’s commitment to protecting clients from abuse.Report essential abuse risk management information to the board of directors.Qualifications Education : Required : High SchoolExperience : Required : #J-18808-Ljbffr
