What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAINTENANCE WORKER position at SCO Family of Services?
· Respond to requests for services per assignments of the Supervisor with responsibility for completion of work order forms.
· Provide general maintenance, minor construction, and repairs for the physical plant.
· Provide general maintenance and services to equipment i.e. vehicles (oil, gasoline), pool etc.
· Report areas in need of maintenance/repairs.
· Provide maintenance/landscaping services to the grounds, lawns, trees, bushes, etc.
· Pick up merchandise/equipment in the community.
· Provide services i.e. set up chairs/tables; direct parking for functions sponsored by the facility.
· Respond to emergency situations (on call) for snow removal, etc.
· Maintain the facility's buildings and environment in accord with standards of regulatory agencies.
· Perform other responsibilities as requested such as care of soda machine/care of pool area and mail.
· Perform all other assigned duties.
Qualifications - External
· Knowledge of maintenance and repair demonstrated competency and/or related experiences in maintenance work.
· Valid NYS drivers license.
· Must have experience in electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry.
· Must be able to read and write English.
· Acceptable clearance checks for State Central Register, Driver license and fingerprinting as required by the program.
· Compliance with health regulations for physical/mantoux testing.
