A leading global consultancy is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Aviation to join the Virginia/Metro-Washington DC area team.
The Senior Project Manager will oversee design management, procurement, and construction of aviation projects. Experience in high-end tenant improvements and/or ground-up aviation programs is a plus.
How You Will Contribute
- Leverage your construction, aviation, engineering, or design background to integrate seamlessly with client organizations.
- Adapt quickly to evolving client needs and initiatives.
- Navigate the unique requirements of construction projects in an airport environment.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to develop budgets, schedules, risk logs, and reports.
- Act as the primary daily point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants as the owner’s representative.
- Define project scopes in coordination with client stakeholders.
- Develop and execute project plans, adjusting as needed.
- Utilize technology tools for reporting, dashboards, and data analysis to drive process improvements.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, including the ability to present and pitch ideas.
- Implement project review and quality assurance procedures to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction.
- Review deliverables prepared by the team before submission to clients.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in large project administration or project management, preferably with aviation or large facilities.
- Aviation experience and/or material handling or baggage equipment experience preferred.
- PMP, LEED AP, or CCM certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with technology-driven reporting.
- Experience with aviation, commercial real estate, or facility management markets.
- Proven track record managing aviation interior renovation, retail, or ground-up projects preferred.
- Ability to obtain security clearance and access badges for regional aviation authorities.
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and related tools.
