MEP Estimator in Colchester CT :
Responsibilities :
Generate cost estimates for MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) in construction projects
Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
Identify labor, material, and time requirements, and compute costs by analyzing these requirements
Maintain contact and relationships with private individuals and other organizations, and resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
Communicate estimate and scopes of work to the staff, architects, engineers, and owners
Perform constructability analysis of project documents
Requirements :
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is a plus.
Ideally two - five years related MEP estimating experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and / or experience
Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite
Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
Experience with electrical estimating services is a plus
