JOB DESCRIPTION: Field Service Technician – Level II
REPORTS TO: District Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Scope of this position is to rig up and rig down Scout and third-party equipment on customer fracking locations. Additionally, ensure all connections are made successfully and ensure the full functionality of equipment.
Responsibilities are but not limited to:
- At all times operate in a safe and responsible manner ensuring your own personal safety and the safety of those around you.
- Adhere and enforce company policies and safety standards.
- Critical assembly lifts with forklift during rig up and rig down operations on customer locations.
- Assemble monobore equipment using hydraulic torque wrenches according to API torque specifications. Activities include:
- Rigging up low pressure manifold system.
- Rig up butterfly valves and air actuated systems.
- Prepping API-type connections.
- Conduct field inventory lists as well as collecting asset numbers.
- Other responsibilities and duties as appropriate to the rig up and down process.
- Verify all torque connections and ensure full functionality of Scout and third-party equipment.
- Visual inspection of equipment and report any malfunctioning or damaged products.
- Clean and maintain Scout-owned tooling.
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Had to have worked at least three months as a Level I Field Service Technician with Scout or equivalent role at another company.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work effectively with a team.
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal assistance.
- Ability to take initiative and learn new skills.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at times.
- Ability to walk around field locations and shop facilities for extended periods.
- Long periods of sitting and operating a motor vehicle.
- Consistent ability to work outside in the elements and sometimes challenging outdoor conditions.
- Must have the ability to bend, crouch, kneel, twist, push, and pull.
- Normal vision, with the aid of corrective lenses or devices as needed.
- Ability to operate hand tools and other productivity equipment in the workplace.
