POSITION SUMMARY
At SD Pantry, the Distribution Technician will be involved in several roles including delivery driver, transporting packages from a packaging facility to businesses as well as pulling and packing orders, maintaining a stocked warehouse in distribution and taking an accurate inventory weekly. Other duties may include loading parcels into the transport vehicle, using a navigation system to map delivery routes, and delivering parcels to the correct addresses in a timely manner. This role will also include keeping accurate documentation and submitting reports on deliveries.

Work environment may be very loud, fluctuating between extreme cold and hot temperatures.

- Pull/Pack orders, gather information
- Keep Distribution area clean and stocked
- Take accurate inventory weekly
- Ensure COA (Certificate of Analysis) folder is always stocked for every product in transport
- Transport packages to and from destinations
- Coordinate delivery appointments and arrive at destinations on schedule
- Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups and records keeping
- Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays
- Use navigation applications to determine the best route
- Interact with clients professionally at all times
- Payment collection and remittance
- Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
- Arrange for vehicle repairs and maintenance, as needed
- Keep mileage records and repair records up to date
- A valid driver’s license and at least one year of driving experience to perform the job safely
- Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery locations
- Time management and organizational skills to keep track of deliveries and stay on schedule
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients
- Physical stamina and good upper body strength to lift <40 lbs, as well as be able to load and unload them from the delivery vehicle
