3D Structural Designer/Drafter
Qualifications:
- An Associate’s or two-year drafting degree preferred.
- Two years of experience in structural designing preferred.
- Experience with Solidworks preferred.
- Experience with Tekla SDS2 Advanced Steel preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes, executes, and adheres to the company’s safety program.
- Produces accurate shop detail drawings, erection plans, advance mil tests and bill of materials.
- Interprets and incorporates accurately customer’s designs and specifications for shop drawings to meet quality requirements.
- Establishes a material list identifying grade, size and quantity for each job.
- Delivers drawings according to customer schedule.
- Reviews contract drawings for all requirements on a project.
- Starts and maintains a record of all design and drawings in current drawing log.
- Produces anchor bolt plans, erection, assembly, and shop drawings required to complete fabrication and erection of a project.
- Verifies fabrication drawings on hard copy.
- Provides updates to Drafting Manager on project progress.
- Communicates with employees to explain blueprints and assembly process.
- Performs other duties as required based on company’s needs.
