What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Representative position at SEA, Ltd.?
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Sell to and expand our service offerings with existing and new clients in our target markets of Insurance Companies, Law Firms and Manufacturers
- Responsible for increasing market share by proactively prospecting, pursuing and closing new business
- Manage multiple client relationships and engagements including addressing any client issues
- Develop and solidify long-term business relationships and partnerships
- Proactively seek new clients that align with our target customer profiles
- Attend industry trade shows and seminars
- Assist with integrating diverse personalities in a fast-paced environment
- Develop and execute a sales plan that results in new client revenues
- Build relationships with key decision-makers of targeted prospects
- Assist with addressing any client complaints or concerns
- Ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback into job performance
- Regular and predictable presence at work
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of five (5) years of outside sales experience in a service industry
- Business development and relationship management experience in a professional environment
- Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, relationship management & time management skills
- Willingness to travel regionally and nationwide
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Outlook
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel 35% of the time, mostly by car
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Ability to drive in all conditions
- Ability to travel to client locations and conferences
- Ability to travel by airline
- Ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback into job performance
