Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. Sealing Technologies is looking for a Staff Accountant to join the team! The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and oversee payroll and full cycle accounting tasks. Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Prepare ledger entries with earnings and deductions.
- Enter payroll information and maintain payroll files.
- Generate payroll report for managers to review.
- Update payroll systems, including employment hires and terminations.
- Attend payroll inquiries from employees.
- Collaborate with HR team to ensure accurate employee data and payroll information.
- Stay up to date on payroll regulations and industry needs.
- Assist with month-end close and other ad hoc duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration or any related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (preferably Unanet).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with ADP.
- Experience with multi-state payroll.
- Strong analytical abilities and adept at solving complex problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP paired with a dedication to consistently apply these guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced small team environment, contributing to a highly collaborative atmosphere, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting.
**This role has an internal job title of Accounting III**.
Salary Range: $69K-$80K and potential to qualify for bonuses. The anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
