Role will be responsible for leading transformational initiatives for digital products and platforms, technology and data to enhance both the Member & Employee Experience. Key deliverables include leading the charge for the Digital product road map including infrastructure, solutions & service delivery, data, information security, project management, and industry competitive strategy ensuring availability, security, scale, innovation, and a superior customer experience.
This position reports directly to CEO and works closely with CEO and peers to define transformation strategy and goals and will be the primary point on all executive decisions related to technology; will work with fellow leadership team and technology team members to actively evolve the performance and quality of delivery, with an overall goal of becoming a world class, technology savvy, financial services organization.
The incumbent will drive organizational transformation that leverages data and expert insights, bold ideas, and intellectual courage through life-changing member interactions in a continued rapid growth environment. Here are a few things you'll likely find yourself doing in this role...
- Develop and execute a multi-year technology strategy supporting the full range of products, services and technology needs.
- Actively participate in short and long-range strategy planning and serve as expert counsel for the Technology group by partnering with the Sr. Leadership team on overall organizational strategies.
- Build a customer centric digital roadmap and execute plans on time and on-budget.
- Partner with FinTech’s and others when beneficial.
- Consistently evaluate and identify technology partnerships for new capabilities to identify streams to accelerate overall strategy.
- Lead the strategy and deployment of platforms such as mobile apps, the primary online app, software technology and/or cloud services to connect our customers' finances with technology for ease of use.
- Lead the digital platforms’ acceleration to empower our company to deliver superior consumer experiences and simplify time-intensive processes.
- Maintain and optimize existing enterprise systems including our core solution and its many integrations, ensuring that it is scalable and can meet the needs of our employees and ever- growing membership.
- Evolve the technical architecture to utilize new SaaS, mobile, and other technologies in areas like digital telephony integration, data analytics, and machine learning.
- Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined.
- Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer and employee experience.
- Ensuring the technology related critical services and processes meets the needs of the overall business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Protect customer information and brand by leading an effective and compliant information security program.
- Bachelor's (Master's degree preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Business or related discipline.
- 15 years of progressive experience in IT/Tech with at least 5 years in a strategic leadership role within a high growth organization. Financial services &/or FinTech industry experience highly desired.
- Innovative, passionate people leader able to assess, recruit, develop talent and manage high performance teams.
- Exceptional communication, leadership and influencing skills; ability to work independently in highly ambiguous environments, with both technical and business groups internally and externally.
- Financial management background (Capital/Expense planning, budgeting, etc.) establishing and managing a financial budget, including making trade-offs in prioritizing projects.
- Familiar with modern cloud technologies, modern agile development practices, including DevOps.
- Experience with and deployment of FinTech solutions and Digital lending platforms preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to succinctly synthesize data, develop recommendations, present to the Board and Senior leadership Team.
- Ability to gather input from a wide variety of perspectives and make informed decisions; willingness to stand by decisions of the team; demonstrated transparency and decisiveness.
- Results driven, highly motivated self-starter who possesses integrity and a strong work ethic.
- Experience leading and developing diverse teams, including the use of third-party resources.
