Description
SUMMARY: Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of banquet functions by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take orders from customers or server
- Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitter to prepare cocktails and other drinks
- Serves wine draught or bottled beer
- Collects money for drinks served (if cash bar), tallies drink consumption for charges to master
- Requisitions/receives liquors and supplies from beverage manager
- Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display
- Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks
- Cleans and maintains bar areas including portable bars
- Perform other related duties as requested by the supervisor
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

- Must be reliable, responsible and able to work well under pressure
- Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must be able to work independently
- Must meet legal age requirements for the position
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- One to two years related experience
- Resort and/or hospitality experience preferred
- High school diploma or equal to a GED
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Must speak and communicate in English
- Must be able to clearly communicate with guests, management and coworkers
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Proficient in POS system preferred
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES
- Food Handler Certification required
- TIPS Certification required
- Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US
