JOB TITLE: Elementary Teacher, 1.0 FTE
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide education services to students in a classroom setting. The teacher instructs students, maintains student discipline and is responsible for student academic achievement. Full job description available upon request.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Elementary Education.
- Hold or be eligible for Oregon Teaching Certification.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide individual and group instruction to meet individual needs and help students make satisfactory progress.
- Develop and use instructional materials suitable for verbal or visual instruction of pupils with a wide range of mental, physical, and emotional maturities.
- Evaluate academic and social growth of students and maintain appropriate records.
- Use data to plan for instruction.
- Communicate with parents and staff to promote best learning opportunities for students.
- Work with other staff as a part of a team to provide the best instruction possible to students.
- Participate in curriculum and/or faculty committees as interested or required.
- Spanish speaking, reading and writing skills desired.
- Computer/technology skills desired.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary as per negotiated contract, with excellent benefit package. This is a 1.0 FTE assignment to begin August 2022.
