Seattle City Light is hiring 2 Term-Limited Temporary Project Controllers. Project Controllers will be assigned to project teams in support of program and project managers. Controllers will assist PMs and Org Unit managers with preparation of procurement documents, maintaining Project Management Framework document files, generating financial and project status reports, providing current budget and Purchase Order balance statuses, and assisting with consultant monitoring and progress reviews including invoices and Earned Value reporting This position will report to the Project Controls Manager.

- Assists in coordinating consultant selection process. or to advertise consulting bids.
- Researches contracts, project designs and construction of projects.
- Monitors and evaluates projects. Recommends authorizing partial and final payments to contractors when work meets contract and project specifications and standards.
- Assists in preparing and processing project change orders to projects if change orders are appropriate and in compliance.
- Verifies accuracy of invoices and project accounting.
- Coordinates project closeout and budget reconciliation.
- Prepares reports and official documents regarding project status, progress, payments, & earned value
- On-Call resource requests
- Assist with preparation of Project Management Institute Framework eporting docs & forms
- Attend planning meetings to determine objectives, program plans and project scope.
- Assist in coordinating consultant selection process.
- Coordinate review of design and construction work performed by consultants and contractors.

- Proficiency in project management software like Primavera P6 and MS Project & data analysis and reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel
- Understanding and application of earned value management (EVM) techniques for measuring project performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborating with project teams and communicating with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address project issues proactively.
- The ability to read and evaluate contract documents
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills
- Assertive leadership and collaboration skills for working effectively with various teams.
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business, Finance or related field (or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience which provides an equivalent background) is a plus.
- CCM, PMP or EVP certifications are a plus.
