Salary: The salary range for this position is $51.27 – $72.18 per hour, payable bi-weekly. Depending on experience, the salary scale is between steps 0 and 19. This is an exempt, 40-hour-a-week position.
About Us
Seattle Roots Community Health is a not-for-profit organization that operates two primary care clinics, an After-Hours Clinic, two School-Based Health Centers, a low barrier Medication-assisted treatment clinic, and a Dental Clinic. Our Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center was founded in 1970 by the Seattle Black Panther Party in Seattle’s Central District. Our Country Doctor Community Clinic was established in 1971 by residents of the Capitol Hill neighborhood in conjunction with the Seattle Liberation Front. The primary goal of each clinic was to provide low-barrier, high-quality healthcare services and promote social justice.

What You’ll Be Doing
The Clinic Operations Manager leads a large team to support the operations of two service lines at the Carolyn Downs site: Primary Care Clinic and Same Day Clinic. This a senior management position reporting to the Director of Clinic Operations and Safety. This position works closely with the Clinical Site Director to ensure the implementation of consistent practices, processes, and protocols to achieve excellence in quality of care, service, access, resource utilization, employee satisfaction, and workplace safety.
This position is responsible for clinical and business functions at the site, including direct front-line staff supervision, department budget management, quality assurance, accessibility, and patient engagement. It directly supervises the Medical Assistant Manager, Lab Supervisor, Medical Records staff, and Interpreters.
You’ll need these qualifications.
- 5 years of management experience in primary care, including supervisory responsibilities, is required
- 3 years in a patient-facing role
- Medical credential- Equivalent to or higher than a Medical Assistant License
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Computer proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, and various computer software programs
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record system
- Experience in a multicultural environment providing care to vulnerable patient populations
- Strong spoken and written communication skills in English

- Flexible, organized, and able to focus, multitask, and function in highly stressful situations
- Ability to interact and work well with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds

- Travel between service sites and to off-site meetings

- You have experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center
- You have experience using EPIC (Electronic Health Records) system
- You have experience using Kronos (Payroll & Timekeeping) system
- You have the ability to speak additional language/s
