What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oyster Technician position at Seattle Shellfish LLC?
Our crew is responsible for a variety of activities and tasks for production and processing of our specialty oysters. Work includes preparation, planting, maintaining, harvesting and processing oysters. Operating large and small boats and farm equipment. Most work performed on or around South Sound beach sites but may include activities in other locations. Work is physically demanding and performed outdoors in all weather and seasons. Strong abilities in reliability, adaptability, communication and teamwork.
- Bending, twisting, crouching, kneeling, standing, walking, bending and stooping.
- Reaching from ground and shoulder level to waist.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Ability to dependably commute to worksites to accommodate tide and production-based schedules.
- Positively represent the company and brand to our leaseholders, investors and the public.
- Perform all the above duties and responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
