What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audience Services Representative 1 position at Seattle Theatre Group?

This job involves primarily working in the box office during live shows at our outdoor concert venue, Remlinger Farms, in Carnation, WA. This job requires you to work during our concert series and THING festival at Remlinger Farms, which runs from May to October 2024. There will be occasional show shifts at our Seattle venues as well. On show days, you will work from late afternoon until the box office closes for the evening. Training begins in April. You will receive training at our administrative offices at the Paramount Theatre and at our city venues. This seasonal position will end with the last show of our Remlinger Farms concert season in October. This position earns $19.97 - $25.72/hour and paid sick leave.

As an Audience Services Representative, your primary responsibility will be providing exceptional customer service to internal and external clients during live shows. This includes managing ticket sales, distributing will-call tickets, and fulfilling other operational needs. Schedules are typically created monthly, and the number of hours you work per week may vary depending on the volume of shows.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Handle tickets sales and will call at the box office window.
  • Distribute extra items such as laminates and VIP vouchers when needed.
  • Assist with all customer service needs as assigned.
  • Address general patron questions in person.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed with the flexibility to take on new roles or responsibilities as the company evolves.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior box office or performing arts venue experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Ticketmaster Archtics or other ticketing applications preferred
  • Demonstrated customer service experience required
  • Must be available late afternoons, nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Ability to take direction and work independently
  • PC skills and ability to learn new software
  • Basic math and accounting proficiency
  • Spanish language skills a plus
  • Consistent and punctual attendance required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Vision – corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to effectively use the computer screen.
  • Sitting/Standing/Walking – about 50% of the time is spent seated at a desk.
