General Statement of Job The GSOC Trainer manages and delivers internal training to security staff and ensures the smooth and effective functioning of training events and state compliance. This involves marketing, planning and execution of on-going and tailored training programs as well as assistance in planning for and facilitating specialized training programs for supervisors and managers. Responsibilities include presenting training material and bulletins either in person or via audio/video conferencing, as well as coordinating with site management on training needs. The position also involves creation of training materials such as case studies, videos, manuals, roll call and handouts with working knowledge of iWork suite. The GSOC Trainer works directly with the client Training Manager to support client personnel. Essential Job Functions • Identify core competencies of workforce with the Training Manager • Keeping training materials and databases up to date • Management of all company training materials • Organizing the use of company training materials • Identifying training and development needs within a unit, site or team • Designing and developing training and development programs based on needs of the site, individual and company • Ensuring that state-wide statutory training requirements are met for the company • Amending and revising programs as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment • Provide training to client Control Room Operators and other personnel as requested Additional Job Functions: • Performs other related duties as required Minimum Qualifications and Requirements: • Training background highly preferred; experience in training design and delivery, proficient in technology presentation programs and databases • Experience developing learning content for remote learning using currently available authoring software • Experience using Filemaker • Law Enforcement, Military or Federal Government experience preferred but not required • General Topics Instructor Certification desirable • Associates, Bachelors or Master’s in business/Education/Criminal Justice desirable • Must be flexible and deal with change in a rapid, evolving climate • Business background with private sector understanding and management of programs or training initiatives desirable • Project management or coordination of training initiatives experience • Excellent customer service skills with a dynamic personality • Microsoft Office applications • Knowledge understanding of iWork suite of tools, with main emphasis on Pages and Keynote • Ability to travel when needed What we can offer: • $66,560/yearly salary • Health, Dental and Vision benefits, plus access to dependent coverage and a variety of other benefits • Eligibility to contribute to a 401K Plan after the first year of employment • Paid Time Off • A dynamic and challenging work environment Additional Information: ▪ SIS is an equal opportunity employer ▪ Private Patrol Operator #PPO 13936 ▪ Private Investigator #PI 28063
