Title: Teaching Assistant/Instructional Aide in separate special education setting
Reports to: Classroom Teacher
Qualifications: High School diploma, Associates or Bachelor degree. Experience working with students with social/emotional/ behavioral needs preferred
Scope of Duties:
Responsible to and functions under the direction of the classroom Teacher.
Assist the teacher in the delivery of instruction and the implementation of the IEP Goals and objectives.
Ensure the safety of the students in all environments.
Assist in facilitating independence, social awareness, language and appropriate behavior.
Assist the teacher in the inclusion of students with special needs into the mainstream school.
Assist the teacher in the collection of data.
Participates in training in relevant areas.
Driving students to work.
Employment is contingent upon passing a SAFIS fingerprint and CORI screening.
