As an Engineering Intern in Engineering Services, you’ll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Provide technical support to SEL staff 2. Develop and maintain knowledge in SEL processes and technologies 3. Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Understanding of electrical power systems Strong foundation in Boolean logic, circuits, and electromagnetism Attention to detail Excellent writing and verbal communication skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Capability to collaborate effectively Availability to work in-person in Houston, TX Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s) Preferred Qualifications Problem solving and analytical thinking Modeling and simulation of electrical systems Proficiency in programming with Python, JavaScript or C Practical knowledge of SEL protective relays & automation controllers Available to work part time during the school year and full time in the summer Location Information This position is located in Boise, ID, capital of the gem state, and on the Boise River in the southwestern part of the state. Pay Range Data ($19.50 - $32.50 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate).
